Turkmenistan increased oil refining by 19% in 2003

As Turkmenistan.Ru informs, referring to the National Institute of the State Statistics and Information "Turkmenmillihasabat", the volume of oil refining in Turkmenistan rose by 19% in 2003 as compared to 2002 and made 6 mln. 804 ths. tons of crude oil in overall volume of oil extraction - 10 mln. tons.

The volume of secondary energy resources and lube oil produced by large refineries Turkmenbashi (Krasnovodsk) and Seidinsk within "Turkmenneftegas" NC oil refineries complex made 5mln. 734.5 ths. tons.

The production of gasoline in 2003 rose by 22% up to 2 mln. 94.5 ths. tons, heavy diesel by 27% up to 1 mln. 912 ths. tons, lube oil - in 2.1 times up to 21.52 ths. tons. Polypropylene output rose by 37% and made 75.5 ths. tons, burner fuel by 28%, oil bitumen by 24%.
