Commission for economic issues of CIS meets in Moscow

A meeting of the commission for economic issues by the Economic Council of CIS will take place on 21 January in Moscow, KZ-today correspondent has been advised in the press service of the executive committee of the Commonwealth of Independent States.

Besides, according to the press service, an expert meeting on the completion of draft provision on mission of observers from CIS at presidential and parliamentary elections, as well as at referendums in CIS member states, will take place on 22-23 January in Minsk.

A technical meeting with heads of CIS bodies and their financial services on issues of the performance of expenditure estimates by the bodies for 2003 and a presentation of expenditure estimates for 2005 will take place on 27 January in Moscow. On the same day a meeting of an expert group for completing and approving a draft agreement on co-operation between the CIS member states on vehicle thefts and return and a draft resolution on establishing a structural coordinating unit for the illegal turnover of drugs and precursors and a Central Asian regional operational group within the coordinating bureau for organised crime and other dangerous types of crime on the territory of CIS member states submitted by the Council of Ministers of the Interior of CIS will take place in Minsk.

A meeting of the working group of experts from CIS member states for preparing a draft interstate agreement on creating conditions for the development of leasing on the territory of CIS member states is planned on 28 January.

A meeting of representatives and experts from CIS member states for resolving current disagreements on a draft agreement on special representative (head of mission) for prevention and settlement of conflicts on the territories of CIS member states is planned to be carried out in Minsk on 30 January.
