text: "Kazakhstan Today" views: [76] Related articlesNATO secretary general visits Tashkent NATO secretary general to visit Kazakhstan Kazakhstan Prime Minister discussed cooperation with NATO representatives Jaap de Hoop Scheffer, secretary general of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO), arrives in Tashkent today, October 19, with a two day working visit, KZ-today correspondent reports from Tashkent. The purpose of this visit is to discuss the current condition and prospects of co-operation between Uzbekistan and the NATO as per the individual plan of their partnership actions and the course of military reforms in the republic. The MFA of Uzbekistan reports that meetings between the NATO secretary general and the president of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov, the foreign minister Sadyk Safayev, and the defence minister Kadyr Gulamov are planned. |
