The purpose of this visit is to discuss the current condition and prospects of co-operation between Uzbekistan and the NATO as per the individual plan of their partnership actions and the course of military reforms in the republic. The MFA of Uzbekistan reports that meetings between the NATO secretary general and the president of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov, the foreign minister Sadyk Safayev, and the defence minister Kadyr Gulamov are planned. |
