Workshop on Central Asian water management opens in Bishkek

Experts from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan will participate in the event. The meeting participants will discuss difficulties related with the usage of resources from such transborder rivers as Chu and Talas (Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan), Vakhsh and Amudarya (Tajikistan and Turkmenistan). The sides plan to review a plan of strategy of passage to the integrated water resources management. The European Union has allocated more than 2 million euros for this project implementation. It is expected that the completed document will be presented to Central Asian governments for consideration. |
