The Kazakhstan's Government has entered to the parliament for ratification the Agreement concerning the total prohibition of nuclear testing , which was signed in September 30 in 1996 in New-York .

According to the agreement's statements, constructing of the seismic and subsonic stations, included in the international system of monitoring at the control for the agreement's accomplishing, has been started in the republic. The most important station of the main network (they are only 50 in the world) - is Kazakhstan's station Makanchi. Its constructing was financing by the temporary technical secretariat and finished in June , 2000. Now the station is in the stage of experimental exploitation. Kasakhstan has got the first station of the world level, holding constant registration of seismic events. The works in constructing and modernizing of the other stations are supposed to be held in 2001-2002 . In particular, modernization of seismic group Kurchatov and Borovoe, and also the station Aktubinsk are envisaging. The station Aktubinsk is supposed to be built as subsonic station, and establish satellite equipment on the acting stations in the Center of data in Almaty. In the case of ratification of the agreement, all expenditures, connected with creating of new and modernizing of old objects, and also their exploitation, will be financed by the special created fund . Expenditures for these purposes form $7,6 million, including $7 million - for constructing and certification of the stations and $0,6 million on their exploitation. At the same time, the agreement envisages annual fee payment in the size of about $50 thousand by Kazakhstan.
