THE COMPANY "KAZAKHOIL" MINED 3184,58 THOUSAND TONES OF OIL FOR THE FIRST SIX MONTHS OF 2001

The mining of oil by the "Kazakhoil" Company formed 3184,58 thousand tones for the first six months of 2001, or 112% to the corresponding period of 2000.

According to the Company's information, 199,9 thousand tones of oil were mined over the plan. Over planing mining of oil was provided at the expense of launching of 76 new wells and measures in intensification of oil mining.

The increase of mining volumes is also guarantied by the considerable growth of capital investments to the production. In the first six months the company invested 12,96 billion tenge to the production, that in 1,6 times more, than for the same period of the last year.

The income from the realization of the production, works and services formed 71,3 billion tenge. This index for the same period of the last year is exceeded on 30,9%. The increasing of oil mining volumes and favorable position of oil market guaranty the income's growth.

Weight-average price of oil formed 18 070 tenge for 1 tone, that on 23,2% higher , than last year.

The Company is keeping the position of great taxpayer in the republic. For the first six months of the current year the Company paid taxes on the sum of 27 538 million tenge, that in 2 times more than for the same period of the last year. The Company is realizing the program of the development of social infrastructure in the regions, where it is accomplishing its activity. The program includes constructing of the houses, municipal economy objects and social and cultural purposes. The most part of it - is constructing of the houses of the village Jana-Karaton for the families of oil industry workers, who are moving from the Caspian flood area. From the beginning of 2001 the Company sent 2,4 billion tenge for this purpose.
