THE GROSS OUTPUT VOLUME OF AGRICULTURE IN KAZAKHSTAN FORMED 95,9BILLION TENGE FOR THE FIRST SIX MONTHS OF 2001

The gross output volume of agriculture in Kazakhstan formed 95,9 billion tenge in the current prices for the first six months of 2001.

According to the Statistic Agency facts , the increase formed 4,6% for the same period of last year, owing to increasing of stock-breeding production on 4,8%, plant growing - on 1,1%.

Sown area formed 16,7 million hectares , that on 0,5 million hectares more, that in the last year.

Sown crops area has increased in comparison with last year, including : potato- on 3%, cereals - on 6%, vegetables- on 4%, cotton plant - on 21%.

All kinds of cattle head and birds has increased the most in the population's housekeeping . The decrease of cattle head , besides birds and camels is observing in agricultural enterprises.

The production of the main kinds of stock-breeding : cattle head and birds have increased on 4%, milk yield - on 5,2%, eggs- on 10,7%.
