This opinions has been expressed by Vladimir Rushailo, executive secretary of CIS, after a meeting with the president of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev today, August 25, in Almaty, KZ-today correspondent reports. V. Rushailo said that he had made a report to the head of Kazakhstan about his trips to the Commonwealth countries, about results of his meetings with the heads of state, prime ministers and foreign ministers of CIS. V. Rushailo also reported to N. Nazarbayev about the nearest plans of the CIS executive committee, particularly, about preparations for a CIS summit due to take place mid-September in Astana. Meetings of the heads of state, the heads of government, and of the council of foreign ministers of CIS will be carried out during the summit. "Presently we are preparing materials for this summit," - the CIS executive secretary explained. He also acquainted the head of state with separate summit issues, but, he has not specified the subjects of future meetings, because only drafts document have been prepared for them and the heads of state are currently working on them. "They will be finally presented a little later," - he observed. At the moment priority tasks of the CIS should be defined, V. Rushailo, which implies first of all issues of the economic integration processes. "Each Commonwealth country must be interested in joint activities. This task is posed before us by the heads of state," - the executive secretary of CIS concluded. |
