According to G.Gorshkova, "this year at Almaty race track the racehorses of English, Arabian, Akhaltekin breed are supposed to be tested. It is the second year that the Almaty race track has started to function after a ten year downtime". The races 2003 will take place during 10 days. The prize fund of the races 2003 will make $130 thousand. (In 2002 the prize fund was making $100 thousand). This year the prize fund according to the race track press secretary Akhat Razaq, "is the highest one on the entire post-Soviet space". According to G.Gorshkova, "in 73 years of the race track existence 15 thousand horses of various breed were tested". Currently, the best coach of Russia S.Khubulov and the most titled jockey on the post-Soviet space M.Kozhamzharov work at the race track. |
