In 2002, according to the ministry of health, there were 735 officially registered cases of HIV-infection and 28 persons with AIDS, which was less by 37.4% as compared to 2001. Pavlodar, Karaganda and South Kazakhstan oblasts are considered to be the most problematic, where 70.1% of all the disease are observed, the ministry noted. |
