Agreement between IPA and Regional Commonwealth

Leonid Reiman, Minister of Communication and Computerisation of RF and the chairman of the Federation Union Sergey Mironov have signed an agreement on cooperation between the Council of Interparliamentary Assembly (IPA) of CIS and the Regional Communication Commonwealth (RCC), KZ-today correspondent has found out from an official web-site of IPA of CIS.

The Regional Communication Commonwealth (RCC) is a coordinating authority in the area of electricity, postal services and information within CIS.

The main target of the signed agreement - is a rapprochement of legislative systems of the Commonwealth countries in communications and computerisation. It suggests a number of practical measures, in particular, an exchange of information on current legislation and its practical realisation in the CIS countries.

One of the important measures is an establishment of a basis of normative legal enactments on economic, social and other issues, which will be able to influence the politics of CIS countries in communication and computerisation. "Currently there's an active penetration of telecommunication companies from Russia and CIS. The information on each country will be processed on the level of the Interparliamentary Assembly", - Sergey Mironov said.
