British Council created new logotype and corporate script, called British Council Sans, KZ-today was advised by the press service of British Council in Almaty.

The new script standard will be introduced in 109 countries by 1 April 2005. The new script will be available in Latin, East European, Turkish, Greek, Cyrillic and Kazakh alphabet. The purpose of reform, as British Council informed us, is in creating "an available version of the script in the majority of world languages during the next two years, starting from Arab".

Four points of the new logotype symbolise 4 countries of the United Kingdom and unity of British Council, which unites people for exchange of ideas and experience.

British Council was established in 1934 as an international organisation, creating possibilities for obtaining education and establishing cultural relationships. Annually more than 18 million in the whole world apply to British Council for some kind of consultation.
