US military helicopters for RK

The ministry of defence of RK considers a purchase of military helicopters and off-highway tractors for the needs of the republic military forces as per the US MF aid programs, the journalists were advised by Bolat Sembinov, head of the minister's team, on 5 August in Almaty.

B.Sembinov stated that according to the agreements between the ministers of defence of USA and RK, a workshop is taking place in Almaty with the representatives of US ministry o defence on the issues of utilising the resources of US international programs, such as IMET (international military education and training) and FMF (foreign military financing). The total amount of financing on both programs will make around $3 million. In the case that the resources of these programs are well utilised in RK, USA is ready to increase their financing by $2 million more.

According to Saken Zhaksuzakov, commander of mobile forces of MF of RK, the equipment and communication means made in USA, adopted by MF of RК, showed very good results and the command of MF of RK is happy about these results. "The equipment is fine and it corresponds with our requirements completely", - he said.

It is expected that during the workshop, its participants will get acquainted with the experience of the US army of the rear provision, finance management, direct comercial purchases, international military eduction, legal support.
