For the first time in Kazakhstan, the testing in the universities of the republic will be carried out in two phases, KZ-today correspondent was advised by Marat Sarsembaev, president of the educational institutions association. On 25 August, according to M.Sarsembaev, a second phase of collective testing in Kazakhstani universities will start. Such measure is taken for the first time. However, the second phase participants will not aspire to grants and loans when entering universities.

The novelty has been confirmed by the order No. 556 "On the approval of collective testing technologies for paid studies by the higher educational institutions of RK" of the ministry of education and science as of 17 July, 2002. From now on each university, whether it's private or public, has a right to carry out a complex testing. Previously, according to M.Sarsembaev, the national testing centre was leaving this privilege only for the basic - public universities, therefore these institutions were much more popular among the university entrants.

M.Sarsembaev, president of the educational institutions association, also said that on 22 July in Almaty a meeting between the city private universities took place together with the representatives of the national testing centre. A decision was taken that all those who wish to submit documents before 15 July, can bring them to the receptions before 15 August and pass to the second testing phase.

More than 100 Kazakhstani private universities belong to the educational institutions association, including 24 Almaty ones.
