Azerbaijan increased petroleum products export by 11.2%

Azerbaijan exported 684.3 thousand tons of petroleum products for January-April 2004, that exceeds the level of the accounting period of 2003 by 11.2% (608.3 thousand tons). According to the information given by SOCAR company, 393.2 thousand tons of petroleum products were exported from "Azerneftyag" Refinery for the accounting period of 2004 (17% growth against 2003) and the rest of 291.2 thousand tons (3.2% growth) were exported by SOCAR's Marketing and Economic Operation Department, KZ-today informs.

The export of diesel motor - 443.0 thousand tons, motor gasoline - 91.4 thousand tons, directly distilled gasoline - 23.8 thousand tons, aviation fuel - 52.4 thousand tons, diesel motor fuel - 6.7 thousand tons, black oil - 59.9 thousand tons, stove fuel - 52 tons, butane - 1.9 thousand tons and lube oil.

"Azerneftyag" Refinery exported 297.7 thousand tons of diesel motor, black oil - 59.9 thousand tons, naphtha (directly distilled gasoline) - 23.8 thousand tons.

"Azerneftyag" Refinery specialising in production of lube oil and other petroleum products release (kerosene, naphtha, black oil, aviation fuel and others). The production capacity of the plant is 14 million tons. Apart from "Azerneftyag" one more refinery is operating in Azerbaijan - Bakinsk Refinery named after G. Aliyev (former "Azerneftyanadjag"), with production capacity making 8 million tons. This venture is specialised in producing light factions of oil products (automobile petrol, aircraft kerosene, black oil).
