Almaty rowers Ellina Uzhakhova and Natalia Sergeyeva rowing together have managed to do it on the 500 metre distance. Moreover, Sergeyeva also obtained a license rowing alone. One license was obtained by Kaisar Nurmaganbetov, one of the most experienced athletes of the Kazakhstani team, champion of Asia and Asian Games. He won the license riding a canoe on the 500 metre distance," - Vladislav Kuharsky, head of the National Olympic Committee group said. Kazakhstan was represented by four rowers on the precedent Sydney Olympics - Kaisar Nurmaganbetov, Zhomart Satybaldin, Konstantin Negodyayev, and Sergey Sergin. |
