"The international practice in conducting such events shows that the forum opening today has all presuppositions for becoming a source of valuable information, a place for an exchange of ideas, and a beginning of realisation of new projects." This opinion has been expressed in the welcoming speech by Danial Akhmetov, prime minister of RK, addressed to the participants of the I international forum "Caspian: politics, economics, business" that has been read by Vladimir Shkolnik, minister of energy and mineral resources, KZ-today correspondent reports.

The head of government observes in his speech that "the Caspian states have all possibilities for a joint work on the realisation of economically beneficial and environmentally secure projects on the Caspian Sea." D. Akhmetov expresses his certainty that "due to the presence of NGO representatives, diplomats, and businessmen this forum will become another step towards success, recovery of hydrocarbon and biological resources of a unique source of the planet, the Caspian Sea."
