Premier met head of Turkish customs service

The prime minister of RK Danial Akhmetov, has received the head of Turkish customs service Nevzat Saygilioglu today, on 15 April, KZ-today has been advised in the premier's press service.

During the meeting the parties have exchanged their views on Turkish-Kazakh relations, including issues related with methodological and informational interaction in the customs statistics on foreign trade and the analysis of statistic information.

In order to reach mutual understanding, exchange experience, get acquainted with the activities of border customs services of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Turkish Republic, use advanced information technologies and technical means of customs control, it has been decided to carry out mutual consultations and pay mutual visits on the level of customs specialists of the two countries.

Besides, issues of spurring exchange of normative reference information, data on applied ways of conducting the illegal turnover of drugs and psychotropic substances, and new methods of preventing and efficiently fighting the drug smuggling and violations of the customs legislations of both parties have been discussed.

D. Akhmetov expressing his satisfaction with the dynamics of the co-operation has stressed that it is necessary to pursue further harmonisation of the customs legislation of the two countries.
