Nauryz was celebrated in the embassy of RK in Turkey

The embassy of RK in Turkish Republic carried out events dedicated to the holiday of spring "Nauryz Meiramy" on the vernal equinox day, 22 March, KZ-today correspondent has been advised in the press service of the embassy of RK in Turkey.

In particular, a festive reception was given in the embassy of RK in Ankara, accompanied by a concert programme of Kazakh musical and dancing groups. Besides, a photo exposition on the subject "Kazakhstan - our common home", a demonstration of documentaries about Kazakhstan "The Voice of Reason", "Kazakhstan - Heart of Eurasia", "Kazakhstan. Ascent towards the Peak" and others were organised. Books by Nursultan Nazarbayev, president of RK, - "The Critical Decade", "Into the Future with Certainty", books "Kazakhstan - the Pearl of Central Asia", "The State Policy of Kazakhstan" were distributed among the guests.

Top state figures of Turkey, heads of the diplomatic missions, the Kazakhstani Diaspora, well-known academic and business circles, and representatives of leading Turkish mass media took part in the meeting.

Recep Tayyip Erdogan, prime minister of Turkey, Abdullatif Sener and Mehmet Ali Sahin, deputies prime minister of Turkey, ministers of justice, defence, education, culture, and other top officials of Turkey sent congratulating telegrams to the embassy of RK. The prime minister R. Erdogan congratulating cordially the embassy in his message, observed that Nauryz Meiramy being the cultural heritage of all Turkophonic peoples, symbolised peace and accord, making a significant contribution into the friendship between peoples of the whole world.

Amanzhol Zhankuliyev, ambassador of RK in Turkey, stressed in his congratulating speech that "Nauryz Meiramy" was a common spring, labour and unity holiday for all peoples. Today "Nauryz" is equally dear for representatives of all 130 ethnicities living in Kazakhstan. This holiday has been harmoniously transformed in the modern life and plays a big part in strengthening stability, friendship, and accord in the society.

Also various sport events for "Nauryz" Cup were organised among Kazakhstani students studying in Turkey on the eve of the "Nauryz Meiramy" celebration.
