Russia boosts oil export in 1Q

Russia exported 48.9 million tons of oil in the first quarter of 2005, including 17.3 million tons of oil, that by 5.5 million tons of oil exceeds the level of the accounting period of 2004, the Ministry for Industry and Energy of the Russian Federation reports.

Taking into account the transit deliveries 54.4 million tons of oil were exported to the foreign countries in the first quarter of 2005, that by 6 million tons of oil exceeds the level of the reporting period of 2004 year.

9.8 million tons of the Russian oil were exported to CIS countries, including March volume - 3.5 million tons of oil, that by 16.2 thousand tons of oil exceeds the level of the accounting period of the previous year.

52.2 million tons of oil were transported via the system of Transneft in the first quarter of 2005, including 18.6 million tons of March oil, that by 4.5 million ton of oil exceeds the target of the level of January-March 2004.
