Monthly average wage reached $108 in Azerbaijan this January

Monthly average wage reached 532.1 thousand manat ($108) in Azerbaijan in January 2005, a 21.6 per cent growth against January 2004, the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan reports.

The specialists working in processing industry, construction and financial sector have the highest salary amount. Monthly average wage, those who hold more than one office totaled 241.1 thousand manat ($49).

According to the government forecast, monthly average wage is expected to be 626.1 thousand manat in 2005, 757.2 thousand manat in 2006, 908.6 thousand manat in 2007.

In Azerbaijan minimum wage reached 125 thousand manat ($25) as of January 2005.
