Rosneft net profit grew by 5.4 per cent in 2004

The net profit after dividends payment will be used for investment program implementation. The balanced profit totaled to 34.3 billion rubles, a 8 per cent increase (2.6 billion rubles) against the level of 2003. The tax amount increased by 47.7 per cent in 2004 against 2003 and made 63.1 billion rubles. A significant growth was conditioned by increase of production, oil prices and tax on extraction. 403 million rubles were used for geological survey, research and analysis in 2004. Company also registered a growth of ecological fees in 2004 (in 2.3 times). The investments for nature-conservative measures made 825.2 million rubles in 2004, a 5.6 per cent increase against 2003.
