Kazakhstan Today - The prices in the copper world market have increased. The monthly average price of cash metal at the London Metal Exchange (LME) at last tenders and the prices of future copper contracts at the New York stock exchange COMEX (Commodity Exchange of N.Y.) and copper contracts at the Shanghai Futures Exchange (ShFE) have increased.
Copper became the first nonferrous metal, quotations of which have gone upwards after last year's fall down. The metal price on LME has grown during I quarter of 2009 by 20 % and the price for this has increased by 30 % by July.
