CIS informal summit to be replaced with horse-back riding

Almaty. July 16. Kazakhstan Today - This year, the informal summit of the CIS states will be replaced with horse-back riding, the agency reports citing newspaper Vedomosti.

According to the newspaper, Russia this year will not hold an informal summit of the CIS countries. Instead, Moscow has invited all the leaders of the CIS countries for horse-back riding competition for the prize of the President of Russia, which will take place on July 18th.

According to an employee of the President's Administration, "any event, during which there is an informal dialogue of such high status people, may be considered an informal summit."

The leaders of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Moldova confirmed their participation in the informal summit. The Presidents of South Ossetia and Abkhazia will also participate in the event.
