Kazakhstan Today - The chairman of the National Bank of Kazakhstan, Grigory Marchenko, during the press conference said the National Bank of Kazakhstan, in case of need, is ready to render support to the fund of warranting of deposits, the agency reports.
As informed earlier, the chairman of the fund of warranting of deposits, Bahyt Mazhenova, said if at least two system-forming banks in Kazakhstan go bankrupt, the fund of warranting of deposits will not be able to return money to all investors.
G. Marchenko said, "The probability of this event is minimum." He also informed that this statement "had been taken by the journalists out of context."
