Moscow hosts meeting of chairmen of Antinarcotic Departments of SCO states

Moscow. May 19. Kazakhstan Today - Moscow hosts the meeting of chairmen of Antinarcotic Departments of the SCO member states today, the agency reports citing the official site of presidency of Russia in SCO.

According to the site, SCO Secretary General, Bolat Nurgaliev, and the delegations of the SCO countries confirmed their participation in the meeting.

The meeting participants will discuss the course of realization of the Agreement between the SCO member states of June, 17th, 2004 on cooperation in struggle against illegal circulation of drugs, psychotropic substances and their precursors. The agenda includes an assessment of drug threat proceeding from territory of Afghanistan, development of the unified positions of cooperation with the antinarcotics structures of the United Nations and other international organizations, and improvement of cooperation of the competent authorities of the SCO countries in drug trafficking control.
