Population of Kazakhstan in March totaled 15.815 million people

Astana. April 23. Kazakhstan Today - Population of Kazakhstan, as of March, 1st, 2009, has amounted to 15 million 815 thousand people, the monthly report of the Statistics Agency of Kazakhstan informs.

"Population of the country, as of March, 1st, 2009, has amounted to 15.8 million people. In comparison with January, 2009, it has increased by 0.2 % that is caused by an increase of the number of newly born and reduction of death rate of the population," the statistical report states.

According to the Statistics Agency, the number of urban population is 8453.2 thousand and rural - 7361.8 thousand people.
