Kazakhstan, Iran to declare moratorium on export of sturgeon from Caspian region

Kazakhstan Today - The Presidents of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, informed, following the results of the meeting with the President of Iran, that Kazakhstan and Iran proposed to declare moratorium on the export of sturgeon from the Caspian region, the agency reports.
"We proposed moratorium on the export of sturgeon in the Caspian Sea for 10 years," the head of the state said.
"Poaching these breed of fish has reached big sizes, which can lead to extinction of this type of fish."
