Kazakhstan Today - The Minister of Tourism and Sports of Kazakhstan, Temirkhan Dosmuhambetov, assigned to prepare the program of development of tourism at the cosmodrome Baikonur, the agency reports.
"The 18th session of General Assembly of the World Tourism Organization will be held this year. The theme of the session will be development of space tourism," T. Dosmuhambetov informed.
"During the forthcoming session of the General Assembly we need to present Baikonur as one of the tourist centers of Kazakhstan. The Minister of Tourism gave the assignment concerning preparation of Baikonur for the event to the leadership of Kyzylorda region."
