The Protocol provides market mechanisms for realization of the Framework Convention, including the mechanism of development allowing the countries, not included into appendix I of the Framework Convention, to carry out various projects on reduction of emissions of hotbed gases due to the countries, which have been included into the appendix. In this case, "certificated" units of emissions of hotbed gases - quotas will belong only to an investor.
As of today, Kyoto Protocol has been ratified by 181 countries and one regional commonwealth (EU).
The law has been directed to the head of the state.
