Kazakhstan Today - The sum of the nature protection operations will total in 2009 150 billion KZT, the Environmental Protection Minister of Kazakhstan, Nurlan Iskakov, informed at the session on Saturday, the agency reports.
According to the Minister of the Environmental Protection, emissions to the atmosphere have been reduced by 149 thousand tons. "Kazakhstan's participation in the ecological projects will increase up to 85 % (current - 65 %) and number of workplaces will increase up to 80 thousand people," he specified.
The Minister noted that 43 largest enterprises of the country "responsible for 80 % of emissions in 2008 spent 123 billion KZT on their reduction".
