CSTO experts discussed formation of information security system

Moscow. January 29. Kazakhstan Today - The session of temporary working group took place in the Committee of the CSTO Council of Security Secretaries concerning information policy and information security in the Secretariat of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) on Wednesday, the agency reports citing the message of the press service of CSTO Secretariat.

The CSTO Assistant Secretary General, Valery Semerikov, said the agenda of the work of the experts includes the questions of realization of the program of joint efforts on formation of the system of information security of the CSTO member states, approved by the Presidents of the CSTO member countries in September, 2008.

"The session participants will consider the normative legal base of cooperation of the CSTO member states in information security, creation of the coordination mechanism of cooperation, and the course of preparation for carrying out of the joint actions directed at counteraction to crimes committed with application of modern information technologies," V. Semerikov informed.

According to the press service of the CSTO Secretariat, the representatives of all the states took part in the CSTO session.
