Kazakhstan Today - According to consulting companies TradeTech Uranium Information and The Ux Consulting Company, for the last month the price on oxide of uranium (U3O8) and the price of March futures for uranium on New York commodity exchange-raw NYMEX decreased on spot market (with immediate delivery).
The General Director of Russian Holding Atomredmetzoloto, Vadim Zhivov considers that the basis of the market of uranium - long-term contracts, which even on peak of spot prices were stable. The prices on long-term contracts exceed the market by third, but, in the opinion of V. Zhivov, there will be a gradual leveling of the spot and the long-term prices.
