December 19. Kazakhstan Today - Spread of HIV-infection for the last years in Kazakhstan has increased twice. The State Secretary of Kazakhstan, Kanat Saudabayev, informed at the session of the Ministry of Health of Kazakhstan on Thursday, the agency reports.
As he said, parameters of health of the population and life expectancy are the causes of low rate of Kazakhstan in the global index of competitiveness. "Practically all the basic parameters are not higher than the 90th place among 134 countries," the State Secretary specified.
"I consider that such parameters are absolutely unacceptable for the country that is aimed today at becoming one of the most developed and competitive states of the world," K. Saudabayev emphasized.
Mr. Saudabayev added, "One of the main problems of Kazakhstan today is absence of vision of the reasons of the links between negative tendencies of medical and democratic parameters and processes, forming health, such as reproduction, formation, consumption and recovery of health of the population."
