Average gross monthly nominal wages in Kazakhstan increased by 13.9 %

Almaty. December 15. Kazakhstan Today - Average gross monthly nominal wages in October, 2008 made 61 622 KZT and have increased in comparison with the corresponding period of the last year by 13.9 %, in January - October - 59 717 KZT - by 17.5 % accordingly, the agency reports with reference to the Statistics Agency of Kazakhstan.

According to the department, the index of real wages in October, 2008 made 100 %, in January - October - 99 %. However, the index of nominal wages in October, 2008 in comparison with October, 2007 was reduced to 12.4 %.

The highest wages are in the financial sphere - 124.4 thousand KZT, in mining industry - 110.4 thousand KZT, real estate - 96.8 thousand KZT, transport and communication - 87.4 thousand KZT, which by 1.4 - 2 times exceed the republican level.

According to Statistics Agency, the lowest wages are in agriculture - 34 320 KZT that is less the parameter of the average wages in the country by 44.3 %.
