Astana. November 27. Kazakhstan Today - The deputies of Majilis of Parliament of Kazakhstan approved the bill on introducing amendments and additions to the Law on State awards of Kazakhstan at the plenary session on Wednesday, the agency reports.

Vice chairman of the president's administration, Maulen Ashimbayev, said that the bill introduces a new rank Kazakhstan enbek eri.

Mr. Ashimbayev informed that, "The state award will be the highest rank of honor along with the order Altyn kyran and the rank Halyk kaharmany."

"The rank will be conferred for significant contributions in economic and social-humanitarian development of Kazakhstan."

Mr. Ashimbayev explained, "According to the bill, the awardees of Kazakhstan enbek eri rank will be given the Medal of Honor 'Gold Star' and the order 'Otan'."

The bill has been introduced to the Parliament by the initiative of the President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev.
