Ministers of Education of SCO member states approved and signed a number of agreements in education field

Astana. October 24. Kazakhstan Today - During the second meeting the Ministers of Education of the SCO member states approved and signed a number of agreements in the field of education on Thursday, the agency reports.

As the Minister of Education and Sciences of Kazakhstan, Zhanseyit Tuymebayev, said at the press conference devoted to the results of the second meeting of Education Ministers of the SCO member states, the report on condition and development of the national education systems and prospects of cooperation presented by the experts in the field of education was signed.

"The report-intention on further actions on creation of SCO University, which will unite mental potentials of the leading national universities for preparation of highly skilled experts for our countries is, was signed as well."

"The parties supported the initiative of the Russian delegation on carrying out in 2009 in Moscow the first forum of rectors of the leading universities of the SCO member states."

The SCO Ministers of Education signed Astana Declaration of SCO Ministers of Education, which defined the main principles of development of cooperation in the field of education of the SCO states for formation of the uniform educational space taking into account national traditions and the best world practice," the Minister of Education concluded.
