Central Election Committee has registered 7 candidates for the post of the president of the country: from the party in power Eni Azerbaijan - its chairman, operating President Ilham Aliev, chairman of Umid party, the deputy of Parliament Igbal Agazade, chairman of the party Great Creation, deputy Fazil Gazanfaroglu, chairman of the party of the Unified National Front of Azerbaijan, deputy Gudrat Gasanguliev, chairman of Liberal-Democratic Party of Azerbaijan, Fuad Aliev, chairman of the party Modern musavat, Hafiz Gadzhiev, and a non-party member, self-promoted, ex-vice chairman of the opposition party of Popular Front of Azerbaijan, Gulamguseyn Alibeili.
45.7 thousand - local and more than 1230 international observers observed the course of elections in the Republic. The international observers represent about 60 international organizations and states.
