October 9. Kazakhstan Today - The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, familiarized with the work of Taraz metallurgy plant, the agency reports.
"The leader of the state positively estimated the work of the plant. He also noted that huge work has been done on reconstruction of the factory and achievement of designed capacities," the chairman of the press service of akim of Zhambyl oblast, Sanzhar Tlepov, informed.
Full start of ferroalloy manufacture and a designed capacity of 100 thousand tons a year are planned in 2009.
In 2007 production made 1020.8 million KZT and for 9 months of 2008 - 1650.5 million KZT.
1450 people work at the factory with the average salary of 37931 KZT.
108 workplaces will be created in 2008 and in 2009-2010 - 216 more workplaces will be added due to expansion, restoration and construction of new objects.
