Parliament of Kazakhstan ratified Agreement on creation of control system of CSTO Forces and Resources

Kazakhstan Today - Today at the plenary session the deputies of the Senate of Parliament of Kazakhstan passed the Law on ratification of Agreement on Creation of Control System of CSTO Forces and Resources, the agency reports.
As it was informed earlier, the purpose of the agreement is creation of control system of CSTO forces and resources. The system of forces and resources of CSTO represents a set of functionally interconnected management bodies and the points of control making organizational technical basis of management of coalition (regional) groups of armies in the interests of maintenance of national and collective safety of CSTO member states.
The created system is directed at maintenance of effective functioning of forces and resources in both peace and wartime for adequate reaction to modern challenges and threats to the national and collective security of CSTO member states.
The agreement was signed in Dushanbe on October 6, 2007.
