Astana. October 6. Kazakhstan Today - Elections of deputies of the Senate of Parliament of Kazakhstan began in Kazakhstan on Saturday, RK CEC informed the agency.

"The joint sessions of voters of elections of deputies of the Senate of Parliament began on Saturday at 10.00 of Astana time in some regions of the Republic," RK CEC informed.

Astana joint sessions began in the capital, Almaty, and Almaty oblast at 10.00. "At 11.00 the sessions began in Akmola, Eastern Kazakhstan, Zhambyl, Pavlodar, Northern Kazakhstan, Aktobe, Atyrau, Western Kazakhstan, Mangistau and the South Kazakhstan oblasts," CEC informed.

At 12.00 the elections began in Karaganda, Kostanay and Kyzylorda oblasts.

As it was informed earlier, 37 candidates were registered, following the results of registration of the candidates of the Senate of Parliament of Kazakhstan.
