Majilis approved ratification of Agreement on CSTO peacekeeping activities

Kazakhstan Today - Deputies of Majilis of Parliament of Kazakhstan approved the bill on ratification of the Agreement on CSTO peacekeeping activities today at the plenary session," the agency reports.
"The purpose of the agreement is maintenance of effective participation of CSTO and its member states in actions on maintenance of international peace and security," vice Minister of Defense of Kazakhstan, Bolat Sembinov, informed presenting the bill.
In the conclusion of Majilis Committee for International Affairs, Defense and Security informs that "according to the second article of the agreement, CSTO member states create on constant basis peace-making forces for participation in peace-making operations."
Majilis deputies approved the bill of Kazakhstan on ratification of the protocol on amendments and additions to the agreements on CSTO legal status of October 7, 2002 and the bill on ratification of the agreement on creation of control system of forces and means of CSTO system of collective security.
