September 16. Kazakhstan Today - Askar Buribayev has been appointed Vice Minister of Culture and Information of Kazakhstan, the agency reports referring to the press service of the department.
According to the press service, earlier, from March, 2007 till February, 2008, A. Buribayev held this post.
He occupied positions of Director of Department of Culture of Astana and chairman Department of Culture of the South-Kazakhstan oblast. Prior to the present appointment he worked as Director of Kasteev state museum.
A. Buribaev was born on April 17, 1956 in Shardar city, South Kazakhstan oblast. He graduated from Almaty State Conservatory. In 1979 - 1981 he graduated from Moscow P. I. Tchaikovsky Conservatory.
