Kazakhstan Today - Preparations for launch of the carrier rocket Proton-M with the Canadian satellite Nimiq-4 have been finished at Baikonur, the agency reports referring to a source at the cosmodrome.
After the assembly and checks the carrier rocket Proton-M was transported to the technical filling station for refueling of tanks of low pressure Breeze-M.
Transportation of the carrier rocket Proton-M with the Canadian space vehicle Nimiq-4 to the starting complex of the platform №200 is planned for September 15.
Launch of the space satellite Nimiq-4 by the carrier rocket Proton-M is planned for September 19 at 3.44 Astana time.
Satellite Nimiq-4 was constructed on the basis of satellite platform Eurostar E3000 by the European company EADS Astrium and intended for work in the geostationary orbit. Nimiq-4 belongs to Telesat Canada - the national Canadian company of the satellite communication providing data transmission and rendering broadcast service for Northern America.
