Saudi Arabia interested in investment in grain and cattle-breeding branches of Kazakhstan

Astana. 12 September. Kazakhstan Today - Saudi Arabia is interested in investment in grain and cattle-breeding branches of Kazakhstan, the agency reports referring to the press service of Akmola oblast akim.

According to the press service, the meeting of chairmen of agricultural formations of the region with the members of the governmental delegation of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia took place in Akmola oblast, Shuchinsky region.

Deputy akim of the oblast, Kadyrhan Otarov, presented the delegation detailed social and economic characteristics of the region and informed the visitors on agricultural and industrial orientation of the economy of the oblast.

K. Otarov also informed on development of cattle breeding in the region.

According to the chairman of the governmental delegation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Ahmed Al Sadhan, "we have arrived to consider an opportunity of investing in agriculture and, first of all, grain and cattle-breeding industries. Our strategic purpose is to establish fruitful relations between our countries. The Kingdom sets one global goal - easing of consequences of world food crisis."

Ahmed Al Sadhan expressed a wish to get acquainted with the projects of the oblast in which businessmen of the Kingdom can take part. He noted that Kazakhstan has great opportunities for investment and the delegation is ready to discuss conditions of cooperation: land renting, creation of joint ventures and so on.
