Next 24 session of special working group on development of convention on status of Caspian Sea to be held in Astana

Kazakhstan Today - The next 24 session of the special working group on development of convention on the legal status of the Caspian Sea at the level vice ministers for foreign affairs of five Caspian littoral states will take place in Astana. Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Halaf Halafov, informed on Friday, the agency reports.
According to H. Halafov, following the results of Baku session, the participants made a decision to hold the next session of the speacial group in Astana.
"We regard the present session as a progress in coordination of the project of convention on the legal status of the Caspian Sea. The parties coordinated a number of regulations of the convention. We managed to hold an exchange of opinions on the most fundamental aspects of the issue: navigation, ecology, and fishery.
Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, Hoshgeldy Babayev, emphasized that the present meeting of the special group has been very productive.
