President of Iran arrived in Dushanbe

Dushanbe. August 28. Kazakhstan Today - The President of Islamic Republic Iran, Mahmud Ahmadinedzhad, arrived in Dushanbe on Wednesday to participate in SCO summit, the agency reports referring to Asia Plus.

According to the message, the Iranian leader was met by the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, and other officials at the capital airport. The President of Iran arrived in Tajikistan to participate in SCO summit as the observer.

The leaders of Iran and Tajikistan discussed the questions of cooperation between the countries. The Iranian leader held a tripartite meeting with the leaders of Tajikistan and Afghanistan.

According to the Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary Ambassador of Iran in Tajikistan, Aliasgari Sherdust, the arrangement on carrying out in Dushanbe bilateral meetings of M. Ahmadinedzhad with the Presidents of Russia, China and Kazakhstan has been reached.

"The question of participation of the leader of Iran in the ceremony of the beginning of construction of the new building of Iranian Embassy on Ismoili Somoni Avenue has been considered as well," A. Sherdust informed.
