Nazarbayev discussed with government budget project for 2009 - 2011

Kazakhstan Today - The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, held the meeting with the government and administration of the president to discuss the projects of the new Tax and Budgetary Codes and the three-year budget for 2009 - 2011 on Saturday, the agency reports referring to the president's press service.
"The leader of the state noted that, according to his assignments and the goals on realization of the pre-election platform of the National Democratic Party Nur Otan, additional funds are planned to be allocated for social sphere in the three-year budget for 2009 - 2011," the president's press service informs.
"We need to make provisions in the budget for increase of pension on average by 25 %, social benefits - by 9 %, and wages of the employees of budgetary sphere - on average by 25 %. All these measures have been planned in the election program of Nur Otan Party," N. Nazarbayev informed.
The project of the new Tax Code provides for maximum decrease of general tax loading for non-raw sectors of economy. Stage-by-stage decrease of the rate of corporate tax from 20 % in 2009 up to 17.5 % in 2010 and up to 15 % in 2011 is planned in order to decrease tax burden on non-raw sector.
Following the results of the meeting, the leader of the state gave the assignments on the considered questions.
The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, the chairman of the president's administration, Kayrat Kelimbetov, assistants to Prime Minister, Umirzak Shukeev and Erbol Orynbayev, and the Minister of Economics and Budgetary Planning, Bahyt Sultanov took part in the work of the meeting.
