Today - The Prime Minister of Kazakhstan, Karim Masimov, considers the question of increase of wages of employees of Tax and Customs Committees can be discussed only after improvement of quality of their work and decrease of level of corruption in these bodies. He stated his opinion today during the meeting in customs committee of the Ministry of Finance of Kazakhstan, the agency reports.
He defined priority directions aimed at improvement of quality of work of the customs. "The first direction is simplification of customs procedures that should be done within the forthcoming half-year," the Prime Minister said.
"The second - there is a need to harmonize customs procedures with the international standards and WTO requirementsduring during the process of preparation of the new Customs Code and its execution into practice," he said.
"The third direction is further automation of business-processes with use of information technologies," the Prime Minister said.
The fourth - defining the strategy of personnel recruitment of customs service - in regards to increase of professionalism of experts of customs bodies and decrease of corruption among customs officials," he said.
