July 31. Kazakhstan Today - Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) will hold antiterrorist exercises in the near future near Volgograd, the agency reports referring to RIA Novosti.
"The exercises are aimed at liquidation of terrorist threat to socially important objects and development of operation plan on prevention of atomic power station attack," SCO high-ranking official informed the Russian agency.
The main task of maneuvers is improvement of cooperation between divisions of each of the state-participants of the organization.
Shanghai Cooperation Organization includes Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. India, Iran, Mongolia and Pakistan possess the status of observers.
